I have Kindred Lore and have experienced torpor before, I think I am entitles to know how it functions in this game since again the "lets go by the book" ruling isn't in affect.

DJ did house rule the requirements for potency of blood to being 1 less or more instead of 3 less. So if an 11th gen is in torpor, a 10th gen's blood is strong enough to force them out of it.
Further ways of awakening a torpored vampire is path of blood 2 (blood rage) forcing a kindred to spend a blood to heal from torpor back to incap. Also, waiting the requisite time will also force a kindred out of tropor based on their path rating.
This means the rules as stated in laws of the night wherein a kindred must be 3 steps below the kindred in torpor are not in effect. Any further questions should be PMed to the storyteller for clarification and can be added to the house rules. _________________ Prince of Sanctuary.

Well then the question arrises if Q is outa torper or not after the last night. He only had 1 blood left.

That's kind of my question. While I understand Patrick answered my question, it wasn't the one I was looking for. Let me be more specific.
How does a Kindred get out of torpor without assistance. If it goes based off humanity, than Q is still in torpor. Granted a lower gen may have been involved, but considering no one else in game has PoB, he would still be out for a couple hundred years, 2 weeks minimum if he is on a high humanity.

There is always the possibility of making a deal with a vamp thats outside the city. Since there are very few 9th gens in the game arrangements can be made. Everyone else is 10th gen or above so it plays as per what Patrick stated.

The fact is no deal was made, as there is no way to get in or out of the city atm, from what i know. There for, Q should still be in torper.

I REALLY want to say some stuff right now, however I think DJ/Ash may take it in the wrong light.
I will suggest we just leave everything lie AS IS for now and we can ALL talk to DJ/Ash over this WHOLE situation.
I swear to God, I wish this was fun for me, but right now it is not.
Now that is saying something as I try to find the fun in everything.
I'm going to go chug a bottle of pepto-bismo now, and mark my place in my book because I'm tired of reading the same paragraph over and over again as this whole problem seems to be distracting me from enjoying it.
Thank You

Im sorry if you are upset by the situation, but as posted in the House Rules of IC consequences, your character pissed off the tremere, we responded. If you aren't having fun, than I'm sorry. You just have to take responsibility for your actions and oppy and I are playing characters that want to make sure you do. Its fun for us. However if we take steps to ensure the character isnt destroyed but can be brought back after sometime and then we are suddenly punished OOC because the rules changed, then thats not fair to us.

This will be handled. Let us simply state that there are a few older gens outside and deals can be made to awaken a 9th gen. He just might have to... make deals. Since he is loyal cam according to the prince it shouldnt be that difficult. Paying off favors owed.. thats another matter. Im not going to punish someone for being 9th gen. Thats not what the intent was and in spirit of the game consider it knowledge gained by a select few which would definitly include the prince.

Don't get me wrong, Ian. You and Oppy are playing YOUR characters. I know about the changing rules and gray areas, but every game has them and to ask DJ?Ash to codify such would cause them a lot of work. You and I have been the unfortunate recipients of actions done get changed due to rules.
Like I said, we should sit down or even sadly re-run the scene but first we need to all talk with DJ and make sure we are all on the same page and questions can be asked, clarifications can be made.
I know all about the rules issues that have arisen. Perfect example would be when Brian's Sandro frenzied in Elysium.
Obten works this, now it doesn't. Obfuscate worked that way, now it won't. Sunglasses did this, now they can't.
Again why I have suggested that we get a meeting on.
On a side note, it did polarize damn near the entire game so even if things don't go my way, your way or Oppy's way, we can at least smile and know that what ever way it goes, we DID make some players night that night. That alone gives me the happy's in my stomach.
Or it could be the pizza. _________________

Q is a 10th gen. As it stands currently, there are a couple 9th gens who could help Q awaken, but that would require them to know about it in character, and also for them to find him. _________________ -Thank You

And just so you know Ian...A ninth gen does know in character where his body is. The prince was notified immediately afterwards. And he umm....notified that ninth gen. _________________ Charles Oliver Nash

no he probably doesnt know he is one gen below Q. Your right. But that doesn't mean he doesn't know he is almost an elder, as the ventrue do keep a very detailed record of their lineage. So there is no reason for him not to try to awaken the brujah. Worse comes to worse we have a slightly more controlled brujah when he does awaken due to the blood bond that would ne imposed upon him. And yes the prince does know he can awaken a torpored vampired with blood because I have heard it mentioned IC at least 6 times, from people who do have lore (Ie. Tremere. Nos, others I don't care to mention). This being during the sandro escapade. _________________ Charles Oliver Nash
