LeCarde Manor- "Full House" (for residents ATM) Reply with quote

::Valarie sits on the porch, overlooking the water that surrounds the island. She is dressed more causal tonight, not her usual jeans and leather jacket, but a tank top and comfortable slacks. One can see old scars that marks her arms, and faded prison tattoos. She rocks gently in the large swing, rubbing the ears of a large pit bull at her feet. A trail of smoke wisps from a lit cigarette, and she taps out the ashes into a planter::

"Come on Q, I'm not going to wait all night", she mutters under her breath.

*Q lurks through out the house, showing up at various locations at various times. Tonight he heads to the swing after leaving a blood-meal for Renee who is safely secured within the panic room of Eric LeCarde*
Sorry I am so late, forgive this ass of an instructor. What is it that bothers you so now?

:: Valarie looks up as Q makes his way onto the porch, and she makes room for him on the swing. The large hound looks up at Q, thumps his tail twice, and lowers his massive back down. ::

“I see that you and Renee have made yourselves comfortable, good. Eric can be a gracious host, when he’s not being a shithead. For a fuck that can see the future, he ain’t thinking too far ahead. After you excused yourself, I walk back into Elysium to find him fleeing from half of the fangs there. If he doesn’t watch himself, after this whole Pentex business, Eric might find himself blood hunted.”

:: Val takes a long drag from her cigarette, and seeks come comfort by scratching her pet behind its ears::

“The second thing that’s grinding my gears is how this whole assault is going to be handled. Being all hands off and diplomatic is fine and dandy when we are not at war, but it’s like there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians! There are two types of leaders: one sits on the hill on his white horse watching the battle, the other is in the middle of his troops taking the battle to the enemy.”

::She glances at Q to weight his reaction::

“I bet this company is expecting us to make an attack, they figure that we are in such a state of desperation, we would converge on the only place that would have the cure. Then they could harvest us like sheep, and become part of the problem. I never been in this much shit before, and without a clear direction, I don’t know what to do”

As Q and Val talked, Eric paced the halls of the house. He was ensuring it was ready in the event he needed to ever defend it. Occasionally, he went to his private security room, watching the cameras.

"No Activity on the bridge...good" He scrolled through them, bit by bit when he noticed Renee in one of his panic rooms. "What on Earth is she doing here...?" He shook his head, no matter, while she was in there she couldn't infect him. He left to go question the two others.

*Q takes the empty seat that is offered and pats the dogs head gently*

You want me to teach you, huh? That's going to be a bit fucking hard when you obviously have a god enough grasp on the subject of war. However, your brother does concern me. He acts a little to much like he wants nothing more then to take his leave of this whole thing. It might just be worth it to send him to the Ventrue Justicar for some undercover work.
*Q swings his head around to face Val*
You are right though. Way to many fucking chiefs. Not enough Indians. Also your observations to the fact that the company would be foolish to NOT assume we'd make a desperate attack can work in our favor.
*Pats Val's hand gently and smiles warmly*
You also seem to grasp the shit of leaders. There is never one, but two. One to make the calls as he sees them from the vantage point of height and another who's down in the shit making sure the rest don't break ranks and flee.
*Removing his hat, he absently scratches his head and replaces the garment*
So the optimum strategy in this scenario would be to get as much information as possible, to launch several types of attacks and to remove their element of preparation. This can be achieved through a couple of things. First is to have one small group advance at the back half of the compound for a stealthy attack while having a more potent frontal assault. Couple this with working in a sneak team that uses subterfuge to gain access prior to the assaults and lastly making a preemptive equipment strike. If you were I and had to plan this, how would you go about it?
*Q cocks his head to one side for a moment and smiles*
Your brother is coming.

After Q dropped off her blood meal, she fed, and she enjoyed it. However, sitting in that panic room was driving her insane.... she felt like a prisoner. Licking her lips of the excess blood she sat back on the edge of her bed, glancing around, then sighed heavily. Personally, if hunters were after the ones that were sick, she would rather be at home, dying there, dying somewhere she was comfortable.

However, she was in the panic room of the LeCarde manor. Lovely. At least she had her computer that she could get in touch with the rest of the world, and her knitting supplies. A thought hit her, and she would send a text to the other Toreadors in the city..... she prayed that her cellphone worked down there.

:: Valerie listens to Q’s opinion on the situations at hand. She has gotten good at picking out his two personas when he speaks, the subtle shift between the iconoclast and the idealist. Now there seems to be a third, a blend of the two. Maybe his two halves are becoming one? She shakes her head and sighs. When Q asks for her view on a commando squad, she shrugs::

“I can be stealthy when I need to be, but I don’t have the same tricks that you do. I would scope out the pattern of the guards back there, and find the moment when they take a smoke break. You got the mind fucking magic; you could scramble their brains and get them to look the other way. As for the cameras, you can’t fool an electronic eye. That would be a tech person’s job to mess with that, or you could just remove them.”

::She glances at the door when Q mentions her brother::

“Good. He can get his pasty white ass out here and help figure out how to slay this dragon”

Not to shabby. I do have some marching orders for you, things like tapping your retainers for recon and yourself for some too. Also there will be a time here we will need to gather some gear and equipment. Of course you will most likely be with me on some of the scouting trips and special incursion mission. I'll review as much as I can with you and your brother. I will also be seeing if other like minded fangs would like to sack up to my play line. We'll just have to see.
*Q absently helps himself to one of Val's cigarettes and lights it. He drops his head back and slowly exhales a long blue stream of the acrid smoke watching it tendril off into the night on a slow breeze*
I have you and Eric. I have asked for Kaname's help and his master Kalied. I've sent requests to Dylan, flash drive, WOlf and Reese. With any luck, Tweek will also avail himself to the plan. Hopefully we will have enough mortals and fangs to get the information we need to actually avoid this upcoming battle.I really fuckin doubt it though.
*A touch of sadness creeps in to his voice on the last few words, but try as he might he can't choke the emotion out fast enough*

"I'm sure we'll manage somehow, from being on that damn ship, we've all become quite the resourceful bunch." Eric stepped into the room, and leaned against the door. "To be honest, if the kindred would have gotten off their undead asses a week or two earlier, we wouldn't be in such a deep mess."

::Val grins at the appearance of her wayward brother joining them on the porch. The lights of the city glow in the distance, and night blooming jasmine fills the air. The sharp bite of the cigarette smoke clings to Val and Q, and there is a large dog the size of a small pony laying by Val's feet.::

"After this whole business is over and done with, you can tell me about this fucking boat everyone has their panties in a bunch over. What is your part to play in this operation, big brother?"

::Val turns to look at Eric, leaning in the doorway to the porch.::

"What are we going to do tonight, Brain? NARF!.."

::Val can't hide a smile, knowing that will always get a grin out of Eric::

Aye true enough. And if Mike Schmitt batted more times at Fenway Park, he'd have had the home run title and not Babe Ruth.
On top of that, if you could avoid agitating the rest of our society, we could of course concentrate upon the needed issues. I also blame the warlocks for delaying this matter and the Council for further acts to delay it. All things aside, we will need to cement in a plan. So Eric, if ye'd be the dear friend and make sure we have enough vitae for the coming guests, we shouldn't have a single fuckin issue when it comes time to hammer down this shit. I shall be expecting at the very least Kalied and Kaname and his friends. I am pretty sure Victor will come, as for Dylan, Tweek, and Flasdrive, I do not really know though I hope they will attend. Also in that list should be Prince Andy, Reese and hopefully the Setite. With her we could easily sway Pentex's employee's opinions. I would even go so far as to extend the invitation to the warlocks, but as Arameous hasn't returned my things, Chelsea is wrapped up with Jacob and having the Seneshaw in the same location as the Prince could spell a coup for hunters, we shall make due with those I've already invited.
We have lots to do, not much time to get it done, and with the orders of Prince Andy being clear about solving this before returning to the intrigues of court, we'll have to make due with who we have.

*Reaching into his pocket, Q withdraws a small note pad and pen, which he tosses to Eric*
First things first Eric, you'll ask your most trusted retainer to fully take over your family's operations so it frees you. I'll need you to do a lot of paper work and scheduling to insure that things get done. You also may want to jot down the following things that will need to be handled.
We are going to need constant surveillance of the compound. That means day and night time. Ghouls, allies, retainers, ect. ect. for the day and Kindred for the night. they'll also need to have a reliable way to tail someone home should they spot a manager or head security. A doctor or researcher will be a better bet at getting what we want. I'll also need those with strong powers of stealth for closer recon incursions. We will need to make sure we pool the needed power cords to lock down the cops and lock out the back up. We'l keep the media busy by having as many things covered away from the compound and we'll need some to block any rouge reports. Moving on, the gangs and the mob families can spare enough people to help us by distracting every thing else. Car alarms, break in to banks and jewelery stores. Burglary with intent to trigger alarms. Setting fires, false emergency calls and random gun fire should help that. Hospital calls for elderly and broken bones. You get the idea. We are going to need equipment and gear, a few heavy vehicles and maps and plans.
You'll be doin the going over of floor plans provided by the city and by recon teams. The more you can note as being discrepancies the better. Also Eric, I want you to go over pay roll stubs and taxes to better lock down those who pay equates to those who know. Next will grab any and all with the power to bend minds, or as Val says, mind fucking, and use any of Pentex people we can to either get things for us, remove obstacles on the assault night or GODS willing, just steal the cure and papers. That would be the best goal, no actual fighting but a surgical operation that delivers what we need into our hands.

*Q stretches a bit and yawns, he looks over to make sure Eric is writing things down*
If the peaceful way can't be helped, then I'll suggest that we form a couple of teams to assualt the compound. This, of course, is assuming that neither Dylan or Flashdrive can hack into the mainframe. We'll have to see if by Thursday the peacceful attempts fail. If so, we'll need to knock out the power to the compound badly enough that it can't get fixed for a good few days. I assume that when this happens the generators will kick in, but that can be negated by stopping gas shipments for them to refuel those generators.
If we have to assault the compound there will be four teams. One team will be with Wolf, as the new Deputy Mayor it won't seem to odd that he wants a tour of the facillity and we can implant some passive heavy hitters and those who look like they'd be with the group but they'll be in obfuscated conditions. The second team would be headed by Dylan and contain a fair mix of stealthy and rough house people. Maybe some gang members thrown in for back up. They'd be responsible for attempting to gain access to the compound from below. Hopefully there will be a heavily guarded door into the compound from there resulting in a feeling of a two prong attack. Where we come into the third group which Val will be heading. Straight forward attack on the main entrance to the compound. I don't expect this group to do to much nor actually get in. You sole purpose is to hurt and draw attention there like the sewer team. Shooting, killing from range and using the heavy vehicles to plow into the walls there. Remember: perceived threats get resolved quick to the exclusion of minor ones. The frontal assault team is going to be bring the heat to the front, either helping the sewer team by pulling off more guards from there or causing enough confusion for the implanted team to break up and cause mayham. The last team will be the most crucial. Sort of like a Special Ops group. While the frontal gets attention, the sewer team draws worry and the implanted team stirs up shit, this last team will consist of power, stealth, and skill. They will sneak into the compound by the quite side. With the other three teams running distraction, the stealth team should be able to secure the objective.

*Sitting up Q snaps his fingers*
Yeah, we'll NEED that. Eric, we'll have to have a good secure radio system in the event things don't go to plan. Worse case the implanted team will call for help or the sewer team. It will also allow us to give the go ahead to the frontal team to try to break in in earnest. The stealth team shouldn't need to call for help but in the event it does, then that is the panic signal and we'd need to flood as much of the compound as quickly as possible. As I said before, these aren't mortals but corpse walking vampires.
*Rocking the swing lightly Q lowers his head into one massive sized paw*
In the best case scenario, we get the cure and all walk out "alive" but reality tends to say that quite a few will fall. Either by Pentex, betrayal, or stupidity. Now though, we wait for our guests and plan for the future.

:: Val lets out a low and long whistle. ::

"Holy crap, Q!! Remind me not to play Risk against you. Ya got this whole fucking thing in the bag, provided everyone acts like grown-ups. You're also sounding more like one person now, did you're two halves agree to put things aside for the good of the mission?"

Somewhat. They aren't going to let it be that easy. They tend ta jump out on occasion. But yes, I think I am integrating rather fucking well for the problems of having a soldier who is so loyal he'd have made a fine Nazi and an arrogant douche bag who's ego could fill this city twice over with extra to spare.

::Val studies Q's facial features as he speaks, and realizes that whatever he is putting himself through, it's a long and painful process. She drops her voice lower, so not to sound like her usual loud self::

"Ah crap, man. Sounds like you're peace mailing yourself together, and have to choose the best bits to cobble into one whole. Even a skilled blacksmith has an assistant, and you're doing this on your own? If ya need an empty head, and two ears, just let me know.. ok?"

::Val looks truly concerned, and places one hand on his shoulder. The large dog whines, reflecting it's mistress's concerns, and places its large head in Q's lap::

As if I would require the assistance of a mere hound or the attention of a dog. When I deign to get your help, it will be with orders for you to attack something. Simple things seem to please you best.
Ignore that fucker he's a douche bag, I'd love to have your help but Renee seems ta understand this shit but if'n I ever need a sounding board, I'll let ye know.
You know, I think that self titled douche bag really likes you. Your young enough to remember when you liked the boy in class, you'd not say hello I like you, you'd hit him and run away. Hoping that he'd chase you and hit you back. It's cute really.

As for the case of, Ye leave her alone!, the sadomasochistic canine, Yer not that aristocratic as to hurt some one like her, stop, servant! Whore to the blood of retard o Q! Stop. Yer just a mentally superior asshole! STOP. Ye...delusional....stuck-up.....barbaric....twat.....ignoramus!.....Please continue.
*Q seems to struggle with himself. Irish versus British accent, a battle for his very self. Cold and logic against Feelings and freedom. He makes slow motion as he adjusts everything from his hat to his pants, moving his glasses or how he wore his jacket. As he slowly released his head and finished his adjustments before he settled to hear your answer. An amalgam of his two selves, sitting whole before Val.*

:: Val watches with interest as the trinity of Q, becomes a singularity in body, spirit, and mind. ::

“Looks like you finally re-booted you’re self. For an old fuck, you must feel like ya just got born again. Just in time too, I would hate to have conflicting orders in the heat of battle.”

::She settles back and takes a long drag, letting the acrid smoke burn her nose::

“This hound isn’t as dumb as she looks. Andy n’ Jessica just sees me in one dimension, probably why they got Eric to claim me first. People don’t realize, in prison, you only exercise for about an hour a day. You spend the rest of your penance in the library, reading. Eric isn’t the only LeCarde that’s a bloody bookworm; I just choose more practical materials.”

“You know, either you are one hell of a mentalist or someone did some of their own mindfucking on you. What you just pulled off is one for the record books. In a span of a few weeks, you managed to pull yourself together. While others who suffer the same fate, takes years of their lives to even address one fragment of their personality.”

::Valarie applauds::
“My friend, you’re one piece of work…”

And you student, are overly astute and talk way to fucking much. If an enemy was so inclined, they could already be changing their plans against me. Though I would hope that any enemies of mine would be as observant as you other wise they'd be so much ash. This "new" *He makes the air quotes around the word* me will take some sorting out. Half formed plans by one are now half formed plans by another and now must be completed by the last who knows not the intentions behind these all things. *Q frowns slightly as he stares a Val* It will also be a long change coming. Some of the plans are completed by one, opposed by the other. Which needless to say leaves me with the chore of figuring out what the fuck the purpose was to begin with. The examples are total. Victor Wolf for instance. I stole his gun. I want to give it back but Aramaous stole it from me. One aspect wished to keep the gun, the other was going to use it to kill someone and leave it for the police to find. I enjoy neither of those wishes.
*He sighs and leans back onto the swing, absently he reaches over to Val and gropes around and on her until he finds the pack of smokes. He helps himself to one before repeating the groping to put them back. He seems to not care if Val wanted to share.*
I am supposed to kill Aramaous for not returning the things he took, another part says let it lie until I do something to get them back. Lastly is the desire to tell him that I know all their hidden places and I'll stay silent for my things. Somehow though, I know none of these are correct but due to the weakening of my self, I am at a loss for planning something anew.

:: Val lets Q paw her for her smokes. She knows hes just feeding his own addiction, and could care less if he was copping a feel.::

"It is worth the risk to get your crap back? I own very little, and that allows me to move quickly and care less about what is left behind. But if it's something important, or traceable back to you, then you're fucked until you get your shit."

::She glances at Eric for a moment, and looks back at Q ::

"Guns are messy things, and they leave too much evidence. I prefer using my own two hands, or a good blade. Victor doesn't seem to be a careless man, so you must have blown you're wad getting that pea shooter. I would just let that go, it seems to be his problem to get it back from the wizards. However, an honorable man would risk his neck to right a wrong, an guilty man would be paranoid, and a clever man would use the situation to his advantage. The question is, what sort of man are you now?"
