Combinging what Q and Patrick said, hey are both right. Everyone essentially has a nuke and everyone is required to seek alternate means of dealing with a situation. The basis behind the story is a major factor in the power level of the game. You don;t have to play, its an idea that an ST wants to run with and allows players to take role of a character they will rarely ever get to achieve. Everybody knows what its like to play a powerless neonate. Not everyone has played the earthshaking elder pushing the pawns of the jyhad.

I played one of these uber-power elder games. Let's just say that if all you can do is toss chops and plan one killing from the next or the next major bad guy, you should come out on the first night, get killed in record time, then realize it's all subterfuge, intrigue, and deal making. It is what some people say that every LARP from Kindred to Wraith should be. Everyone is powerful, everyone can kill everyone and thing. It is a great game to rest sure. If you still don't understand, you should just go to the first game to see what's what.

I haven't yet...
I've had this conversation with Patrick 100 times but I'll share with everyone else...
I feel that often people in these types of games are LESS willing to get into combat because they know if it comes to combat everyone is going to die. Most people like to be able to say there beloved character has never died so they are less willing to get into combat.
That said some of you will still throw down and the important thing to remember is that everyone is just as powerful as you if not MORE SO... If people do start shit bodies are going to drop....
My question is what can they play when that happens? do they have to start over (neonate) or do they get to bring in their second favorite character, etc?

You follow the character creation guidlines. Its like 200 xp and you can buy down to 7th gen.
And yes, in gaves of this magnitude, it isn't who can throw down the best, its who is better at manipulating the pawns. Also we are working on a system for using whole populations instead of just influences and backgrounds. Afterall, you will be the leader of a city state, not just a group. Consider yourself the ruling body of governmment. The people of the\is world cannot distinguish vampires from gods and thats kinda the fun of it. Playing the role of the elder in their prime. Before you knock it, you should try it, thats all I can say. Favorites games require alot more involvement than normal.

Ok so every character wil;l be 7th gen, elimianting reallyu the entire point to being 7th gen. Now the rare is common and what should never be needed will now be the routine enemy.
Just play antedeluvians and get it out of your system.

This post is to ask if people are interested, not if they aren't and why they think no one should play it. We have all played in many-a-games where we paly the role of neonates and fledglings. For once, players might enjoy the role of starting off on a higher echelon. If you do not want to play, thats fine. We aren't twisting your arm. I do ask though that instead of knocking it and making the idea look bad in front of all the other players, especially those who have yet to experience a favorites game, that you just remove yourself from the discussion since it is obviously not your cup of tea and everything you have to say is negative.
